| The ITR meeting will
feature ten papers presented by PIs from Duke, Stanford, UNC, and
NC A&T. In addition to the program, there will be opportunities
for demos and for discussions at various levels of informality.

The conference will
take place on January 4-5, 2001, in Room D344 of the LSRC Building
at Duke University.
The LSRC
Building (Levine Science Research Center) is located
on Research Drive between Erwin Road and Science Drive on the
campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

| Hotel |
| For those staying overnight,
arrangements have been made with the Regal
University Hotel for the nights of January 3, 4, 5. Participants
are responsible for reservations and payment.
The rate is $98.00
per night. The deadline for reserving guaranteed rooms is Wednesday,
December 20. The hotel phone number is 800-633-5379. Specify "Duke
ITR Meeting" when making reservations.
The hotel offers free
shuttle service to/from the airport and to/from Duke. Participants
should make arrangements directly with the hotel.
A less expensive hotel,
within walking distance of the meeting site, is another option.

Parking |
| Participants are responsible
for their own travel arrangements.
The nearest airport
is Raleigh-Durham (RDU). Transportation
to/from the airport is provided by the hotel's shuttle service.
Participants should make arrangements directly with the hotel.
Parking is available
on the Duke campus, but spaces are strictly regulated. Those wanting
to park must notify Celeste in advance. She will make arrangements
and fax parking passes to requesters.

| Morning coffee &
rolls, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided both days
of the conference. A group dinner will be held at a restaurant on
Thursday evening. Please inform Celeste of vegetarian and other
dietary needs. |

| Participants' expenses
will not be reimbursed by Duke or the project. Conference funds
are included in subcontractors' grants. |

| Equipment |
| Available presentation
equipment includes a white board, an overhead projector, and projectors
which can be connected to laptops and other computers. Please inform
Celeste if you need any other equipment. |
