| The PIT, or protein interaction theater was designed
to use head-tracked stereo to present two users with coupled views of
a shared workspace. To improve this system, McKenzie-Maree Slaughter is
currently working on connecting the molecular graphics program "spock"
to the PIT. Spock, http://quorum.tamu.edu/spock/, is used in the program
in cellular and molecular biophysics, so hooking it into our visualization
tools will enhance our ability to collaborate with students and faculty
in the biophysics program. Work continues on evaluating what makes visualization
and virtual environments effective ways to collaborate.
